Collection: Telescope Eyepieces for Astronomy Observation | Telescope Wolves

Your telescope's eyepiece is what your eye actually looks through — and it has a bigger impact on what you see than most beginners expect. A good eyepiece can make a decent telescope perform significantly better, while a poor-quality eyepiece can undermine even a great optical tube.

As a beginner, you don't need dozens of eyepieces. Start with two or three that cover the most useful magnifications: a low-power eyepiece (25–40mm) for wide-field viewing and finding objects, a medium-power eyepiece (10–15mm) for general observing, and a high-power eyepiece (6–8mm) for close-up planetary detail.

What eyepiece should a beginner buy first? If your telescope came with a single eyepiece, a quality 25mm or 32mm Plössl is a great first addition. It gives a wide, comfortable view and works beautifully for scanning star fields and locating targets.

All eyepieces here are selected for optical quality, comfortable eye relief, and compatibility with standard 1.25" and 2" focusers. Free shipping on qualifying orders.
