The Explore Scientific ED102-FCD100 Series Air-Spaced Triplet Telescope in Carbon Fiber, has the advantages for astrophotographers and visual astronomers found in our metal-tube ED102 models, but with the advantage of making the instrument much lighter, and a lighter weight telescope performs better on any mount that it is used on.
This telescope includes genuine HOYA FCD100 ED glass which is very similar in characteristics as OHARA’s FPL-53. Relying on technological innovation, we have successfully launched the mass production of high-performance optical glass at the apex of the FCD family. Combining it with optical glass of high refractive index allows us to achieve unprecedented advanced chromatic aberration correction. HOYA FCD100 is considered one of the premier ED glass types available.
Having a true diffraction-limited optical design and sized to encourage spontaneous stargazing sessions, this high-quality telescope is a perfect grab-and-go instrument for exploring the skies. Featuring an air-spaced triplet optical design that virtually eliminates chromatic aberrations, this telescope generates brilliant high-contrast images by combining genuine HOYA FCD100 extra-low dispersion (ED) glass and proprietary EMD enhanced multi-layer coatings on all optical surfaces.
This amazing scope includes a 2.5" Hexagonal focuser with very rigid design and strong support. Up to 10 lbs of gear can be loaded onto this focuser.

If your order is in stock and we process the charges to your credit card, it will ship within five business days from the date of your order. We will send you tracking information within 24 hours of your order leaving the warehouse to the e-mail address you provided when checking out. Cancellations & Refunds:
All orders canceled after 48 hours are subject to a $20 administration fee, whether or not your order has shipped. If your order has shipped, you (the buyer) will also be responsible for actual return shipping charges. Refunds will only be issued to the original credit card that you use when placing your order.
Damages:
Please inspect the packaging of your item(s) when they arrive, if you notice any damage you should make note of it when signing for delivery. If your item(s) do arrive damaged, please send photos to shipping@telescopewolves.com and we will process an insurance claim on your behalf.

Daystar Filters's Warranty:
If used as directed, your DayStar filter is guaranteed for ten years. Should the filter become inoperative due to optical or mechanical failure, Daystar will repair the filter or replace it with an equivalent filter at no repair cost to the customer.
Under no circumstances shall a refund be issued:
due to application issues or the buyer's lack of skills in application of the product
Application of the DayStar product requires a degree of technical expertise specific to the exact product line, which is not common to other optical applications
if the product’s technical application procedures are NOT followed properly and poor results are yielded
Application procedures are posted on Daystar’s website and are stated in further detail in the client's operation manual
due to buyer’s remorse
Goods are warranted to be in operative, working condition as stated in specifications of product at the time of delivery. Should the goods not meet these specifications, Telescope Wolves will put a request in on your behalf to repair or replace the goods with items which meet stated specifications of product.
Goods shipped shall meet specifications stated by means of optical laboratory testing using independently verified spectrometer testing methods, visual inspection, and visual qualification of performance.

I've been using this scope for a couple years now, and love it. It's lightweight (with rings and such it's more than 7 lbs, but still very light), and provides beautiful views and fantastic pictures. Watch out for accessories though, with the exception of the finder scope I added I have yet to have an ES accessory for this scope work.

First scope
I used fatherhood as an excuse to get this scope. As a kid my scope was never any good and I lost interest quickly. After a few nights I am blown away. With the 82 degree eye pieces we have already seen jupiter and 4 of its moons, Saturn's rings, shooting stars. The sky is full, hard to know what star you are looking at because there are so many, and they are all so vivid. Easy to use and solid construction. Owner is a hardworking, honest dude who stands behind his products.
