This ULF solar viewing bundle pairs a safe 50mm binocular white-light solar filter kit — a filter for each objective — with five pairs of solar viewing glasses. It's a complete, ready-made way for a small group to safely watch the Sun through binoculars and by eye on eclipse day, revealing sunspots, the sharp solar limb, and every partial phase in a near-natural white-light view.

Safety note: each binocular objective must be fully covered by its filter and secured, and the solar glasses must be undamaged and worn whenever looking toward the Sun. Never view the Sun through unfiltered optics or with the naked eye.

Who it's for
Families, classrooms, and small groups who want safe binocular solar viewing plus glasses for an eclipse or sunspot session. New to filters? See our guide to telescope filters.

  • Binocular filter kit: a 50mm white-light filter for each binocular objective.
  • Five solar glasses: lets several people view safely at once.
  • Safe white-light viewing: reduces the Sun to safe levels for eyes and binoculars when properly used.
  • Shows sunspots & eclipse phases: near-natural white-light image of the Sun.
  • Complete for eclipse day: filters and glasses together in one bundle.

Why a pair of filters?
Binoculars have two objectives, so each side needs its own filter for safe viewing.

Is everything safe for the Sun?
Yes — both the binocular filters and the glasses are made for safe solar viewing. Inspect them for damage before use.

What binoculars does it fit?
Binoculars with objectives around 50mm. Secure each filter fully over its objective before viewing.

What will we see?
Sunspots, the sharp edge of the Sun, and the partial phases of a solar eclipse.
