The most affordable dedicated double-stack H-alpha solar telescope — with everything you need to observe right out of the box. The SS60DSB bundles the same double-stack 60mm solar telescope as the SS60DS with a 25mm eyepiece, 1.25" mirror diagonal, 10,000mAh battery pack, and international power adapters. Pick it up, point it at the Sun, and you're observing.

If you're new to solar observing and want to start without sourcing a separate adapter chain, this is the bundle that removes every barrier.

What you'll see:

  • Solar prominences — bright plasma arcs lifting off the edge of the Sun
  • Dark filaments — cool plasma threads snaking across the solar disk
  • Chromospheric network — the subtle cellular texture of the Sun's outer atmosphere
  • Active regions — bright patches concentrated around sunspot groups

What's in the box:

  • SS60DS OTA — 60mm dedicated H-alpha telescope with double-stack etalon permanently integrated
  • 25mm Plössl eyepiece — your primary viewing eyepiece for full-disk solar views
  • 1.25" mirror diagonal — angles the eyepiece for comfortable, upright viewing
  • Solar Bullet finder — safe solar finder for aiming without looking through the eyepiece
  • Vixen/photo mounting foot — attaches to most standard mounts and tripod heads
  • Micro-USB wall adapter with US + international adapters — works at home or abroad
  • 10,000mAh battery pack — power the scope in the field without a wall outlet

Note: The Quark etalon is permanently integrated and cannot be moved to another telescope. You'll still need a compatible mount or tripod head. For the OTA-only version, see the SS60DS.
