The Explore Scientific L-eNhance 2-inch dual narrowband filter is a light pollution filter built to boost nebula contrast for wide-field astrophotography. It works by passing only the key wavelengths that emission nebulae glow at — hydrogen and oxygen — while blocking most artificial skyglow, so faint nebulosity stands out even from the suburbs.

This Optolong-made multi-band filter transmits H-alpha and H-beta along with an OIII band, letting one-shot color cameras capture rich nebula detail without needing a dark-sky site.

How is the L-eNhance different from the L-eXtreme?
The L-eNhance has wider passbands (about 10 nm Ha and 24 nm for OIII/H-beta) and includes H-beta, while the L-eXtreme is a narrower 7 nm dual-band filter. L-eNhance passes a bit more light; L-eXtreme suppresses light pollution more aggressively.

Does it work with a DSLR?
