The DayStar Interference Eliminator T-Mount (MG0408) helps you get cleaner, higher-contrast solar images. In narrowband H-alpha imaging, nearly parallel light can reflect inside the camera and create wavy banding known as Newton's rings. This adapter threads into your T-mount imaging train between the solar filter and camera to suppress those fringes and stray-light scatter. Ships free to the US.

They are wavy interference fringes that appear when nearly parallel narrowband light reflects between optical surfaces or the sensor — common in H-alpha solar imaging.

Which version do I need?
This is the T-thread version with a 55mm flange focal distance. C-mount cameras use the IECC or IE2C instead.

Where does it go in the train?
