The DayStar SR-127 is a large 127mm dedicated H-alpha solar telescope for advanced solar observers and imagers who want high-resolution, high-contrast views of the Sun. This is the Chromosphere-tuned model, optimized for surface detail — fine granulation, dark filaments, and bright active regions across the solar disc. With the H-alpha etalon integrated, you simply point, focus, and safely watch the Sun in narrow hydrogen-alpha light — no separate filter or energy-rejection filter to add.

H-alpha is a very narrow slice of deep-red light where the Sun's chromosphere comes alive. The SR-127's large 127mm aperture and 0.4Å bandwidth resolve fine detail that smaller solar scopes simply can't.
