Can I use 1.25-inch eyepieces?
This holder is for 2-inch eyepieces. For 1.25-inch oculars you would need the appropriate 1.25-inch adapter.

Do I still need a solar filter?
The Quark itself is the solar filter. This holder only adds eyepiece flexibility and provides no eye protection on its own.
