The ULF 50mm Universal white-light solar filter lets you safely photograph the Sun with a DSLR or mirrorless camera lens. It fits over the front of a camera lens (up to about 50mm) and blocks the Sun's intense light to safe levels, so you can capture sunspots, the sharp solar limb, and partial-eclipse phases in a near-natural white-light image. Sold in bulk quantities, it's a favorite for eclipse events, classrooms, and outreach.

Safety note: the filter must fully cover the front of the lens and be held on securely. Only photograph or view the Sun with the filter fitted — never point an unfiltered camera or your eyes at the Sun.

Who it's for

  • Sold in bulk: priced per unit with 10-unit and 50-unit minimum quantities — ideal for events and groups.

Is it safe for solar photography?
Yes, when it fully covers the lens front and is secured in place. Inspect it for pinholes or damage before every use.

Why is it sold in bulk?
It's priced per unit with 10-unit and 50-unit minimums, which makes it popular for eclipse events, schools, and outreach groups.

Will it fit my lens?
It's a universal design for lens fronts up to about 50mm. For larger optics, use a correspondingly sized solar filter.

Can I look through it by eye?
It's designed for camera-lens use; for direct eye viewing use a filter rated and sized for that purpose.
