The Explore Scientific Dobsonian shroud for the 20-inch truss tube telescope is a light-blocking fabric sleeve that wraps around the open truss structure of your Dobsonian. On a truss-tube telescope the light path is exposed between the mirror box and the upper cage, and a shroud closes it off — keeping stray light, dew, and dust out for darker, higher-contrast views.

Slipping over the truss poles, the shroud effectively turns your open-frame Dobsonian into a closed tube, protecting the optics and improving contrast at the eyepiece.
