The Explore Scientific H-Alpha 12nm Narrowband Filter (1.25") isolates the red light of hydrogen-alpha (H-Alpha, 656nm) — the wavelength that most emission nebulae glow brightest in — for high-contrast narrowband astrophotography. By passing only that line and blocking everything else, including light pollution and moonlight, it renders nebulae in striking detail against a dark sky.
