The Explore Scientific PMC-Eight GoTo Equatorial Mount & Tripod (ES-G11PMC8-00) combines a robust German-equatorial mount with precision stepper-motor GoTo control and a heavy-duty tripod. This mount, based on the classic G-11 design but upgraded by Explore Scientific, delivers smooth, vibration-free tracking thanks to high-resolution dual-axis stepper motors and machined worm-gear drives. With a high 60 lb payload capacity and a total load tolerance up to 100 lb, it supports large telescopes and heavy astrophotography rigs. The mount accepts both Losmandy “D”-style and Vixen-style dovetail plates for versatile telescope compatibility. The included tripod features sturdy 3-inch adjustable legs, foldable design, and adjustable height to give you a stable base for precise celestial tracking. For convenience, a 21 lb counterweight and weight shaft are included — additional optional counterweights can be added for heavier setups. Whether you are deep-sky imaging or serious visual astronomy, this GoTo mount & tripod is built for precision, stability, and long-term reliability.
