Frequently asked questions

Why a carbon-fiber tube?
Carbon fiber is light and barely changes length with temperature, so the scope holds focus better through the night and is easier to carry and mount than a metal tube of the same size.

What mount do I need?
This is a large, premium tube — use a heavy-duty equatorial mount (EQ6-class or larger) for imaging.

How does FCD100 compare to standard ED glass?
HOYA FCD100 is a premium ED glass comparable to Ohara FPL-53, giving top-tier color correction for the most demanding visual and imaging use.
