See cells, bacteria, pond microorganisms, and plant tissue — and display them live on your computer screen. The National Geographic 40x–1600x Microscope includes a built-in USB eyepiece so you can project magnified images, save photos, and record video directly to your PC. No extra adapter needed.

The 40x to 1600x magnification range lets you start with a wide overview of a prepared slide, then zoom in to see individual cells and fine cellular structures clearly. The included USB digital eyepiece connects directly to your computer — great for classroom demonstrations, sharing discoveries, or simply getting a bigger, more comfortable view. Three objectives (4x, 10x, 40x) cover the most useful magnification levels for biology students, and the coarse and fine focus knobs make it easy to land on sharp focus without fuss.

What's included: compound biological microscope with monocular head, USB digital eyepiece for screen viewing, 10x optical eyepiece, three achromatic objectives (4x, 10x, 40x), LED transmitted illumination, coarse and fine focus, rotating disc diaphragm, and a set of prepared slides to get you started immediately.

An excellent first biological microscope for students, homeschoolers, and beginners who want both traditional eyepiece viewing and digital display capability. What will you see? Cheek cells from a cotton swab, onion skin cells, pond water microorganisms, and more — all on screen, ready to share.
