The SVBONY SV209 0.8x focal reducer and field flattener is an astrophotography accessory that widens your field of view and sharpens your stars for deep-sky imaging. A focal reducer shortens the telescope's effective focal length and speeds up its focal ratio, so you capture more sky and gather light faster — cutting the exposure time needed to reach the same depth.

It's designed for the SVBONY SV550 122mm f/7 APO refractor, converting its 854mm f/7 optics to roughly 683mm at f/5.6. As a field flattener it also corrects the natural curvature of a refractor's focal plane, keeping stars round from centre to corner across large sensors.
