Check Your Framing Without Removing the Camera — A Flip Mirror Explained

When you mount a camera on a telescope, you lose the ability to look through an eyepiece to check what you're pointed at. A flip mirror diagonal solves this: it sits between the focuser and your camera, with an eyepiece port on top. A lever flips a mirror in and out of the light path — one position sends light up to the eyepiece so you can see exactly what the camera will capture; the other lets light pass straight through to the camera. Your camera never moves.

This makes it much easier to find and centre faint targets before starting an exposure, and to check tracking without touching the camera setup.

Fits Vixen FL, ED, VC, VMC, A, and NA series telescopes only. Not compatible with: VMC95L, VMC110L, A70Lf, A80Mf, R130Sf, R200SS, or STARPAL.

You will also need: the EA 60mm to 2" Adapter (ES3725) to attach this to your Vixen telescope, plus a T-ring for your specific camera brand — both sold separately.
