The Vixen AX103S OTA ES26144 is a flagship-class 103 mm SD apochromatic refractor optical tube designed for high-quality visual astronomy and astrophotography. Its advanced optical design delivers crystal-clear, high-contrast images with minimal chromatic aberration — perfect for observing the Moon, planets, star clusters, nebulae, and deep-sky objects, or for detailed imaging.

The 825 mm focal length (f/8) provides a versatile balance between wide-field views and capable magnification. A built-in field-corrector lens ensures sharpness across the entire frame, which is especially beneficial for astrophotography. The OTA comes with a dovetail mounting plate, tube rings, flip-mirror diagonal, and an illuminated 7×50 mm finderscope for easy setup and mount attachment.

Features & Benefits

  • Premium SD-glass apochromatic optics — 103 mm triplet lens delivers sharp, true-color, high-contrast images with minimal chromatic aberration.

  • Flat, wide, aberration-free field — Field-corrector lens keeps stars sharp even at the edges of the field.

  • Optimized light transmission — Multicoated optics enhance brightness and contrast for visual and imaging use.

  • Versatile eyepiece and imaging support — Accepts 2″ eyepieces (with 1.25″ adapter) and supports prime-focus, eyepiece-projection, or afocal astrophotography with T-ring adapters.

  • Complete optical tube package — Includes dovetail plate, tube rings, flip-mirror diagonal, carry handle, and 7×50 finderscope.

  • Balanced for imaging and visual use — 825 mm focal length is wide enough for nebulae and star fields, yet long enough for lunar and planetary details.
